3 Useful iPhone Apps that I use Daily

Three years back before the launched of the iPhone, never have I dream that I would  surf so much on a mobile phone or even keep myself abreast on daily news using the mobile platform. That all changed when I purchased the 1st generation of iPhone and now i am in my 3rd iPhone (3GS) and i am chalking up so much data on my mobile. On my journey to work or while I am having a cuppa of coffee, I would be reading my daily RSS feeds, Twitter away interesting articles, checking Facebook, all on my iPhone.

Having purchased and download about 7 pages worth of Apps on my iPhone, three applications stands out and i use them on a daily basis. These are the 3 apps which i find useful.

Newstand - RSS Reader

Newstand - RSS Reader

Newsstand – Is a superb RSS reader that is simply fantastic (in my opinion). It is a full-featured RSS reader for your iPhone with a unique interface. Skim over the latest headlines on a beautiful shelf of newspapers and magazines in landscape orientation or use the powerful Mail-like view in portrait mode to read and organize feeds.

The app is incredibly flexible  and you can also import a subscription list from your Bloglines account or from any OPML file on the web (once you have exported it from your favorite desktop or online newsreader. You can also find and subscribe to feeds with the integrated Bloglines search. The best feature which i find is that you can tweet the article that you find useful by a simple press of the button (title of the article as well as shorten url). In addition, if you want to keep the article, you can easily sue the same function to email the article or post the tag to your delicious account.

Tweet Deck for iPhone

Tweet Deck for iPhone

TweetDeck – I am sure for those who have been on Twitter would know about Tweet Deck the desktop application. The desktop application is build using Adobe Air  and hogs up very little memory. It keeps you updated on your Twitter account as well as your Facebook account. Not only can you read the tweet on your twitter account, you can also do simultaneous update of your twitter as well as Facebook status using just a single post. The TweekDeck iPhone app works almost similar to the desktop application (except Facebook integration).

Facebook - The most downloaded App on the iPhone App store. This apps works beautifully on the iPhone. You can read your facebook newsfeed, view your profile, check your friends, inbox, chat, etc. The latest 3.0 iPhone Facebook App is awsome – Simply love this app. You can also do your photo / video upload using the iPhone app. This makes updating your facebook account extremely simple.

Anymore useful iPhone Apps out there? I am sure there is more as developers start building more and more apps for the iPhone. Guess I will have to just chalk up more mobile data in the future.
