Hotel Quote, a nice little boutique hotel in Taipei, Taiwan. I happened to chance upon this newly opened Hotel in Taipei and decided to give it a try during my last visit to Taipei in Apr 2010.

Hotel Quote Tapei,  is situated at No. 333 Nanjing E. Road, Sec 3 Taipei (just next to Asia World Shopping mall). The nearest MRT station to the hotel is the Nanjing E. Road MRT station (next to Brother Hotel). It is about 5 mins walk from Taipei Arena.

The first thing that I noticed when i checked into the hotel is that the huge water feature at the entrance, where it divides the check in counter from the lounge bar. Check-in to the hotel was seamless and within minutes i was up on my room.

I was quite lucky in that I got upgraded to a bigger room. Overall, i was impressed by the room and the minimalist decoration (something that is my personal preference). I really like the room very much. However one dislike about the room is that the room is dark (although comfy). Looking around the room make me realize why the room was a bit dark. That is because the room does not have a window that allow natural light to enter (maybe because Hotel Quote used to be PartyWorld KTV).

The bath room is nice and clean and quite big with a separate shower (comes with Rain shower – again something that i like very much). The bath room also has a separate bath tub, luxurious for those who love to take a dip in the tub (not for me). I like the toiletries set as well (but no special preference as i have seen better ones before.

There is a small Nespresso Machine in the room for coffee addicts like myself (cool). Minibar is stock up with drinks and some light snacks (all complimentary to the guest and inclusive in the room rate). Very nice for business travellers (and lazy travellers like myself), where I can spend one whole day working in the room without going out.

Next, i went down to the 2nd floor where the guest area is. The 2nd floor is where guest can have their breakfast as well as some light refreshment throughout the day (All free of charge). This facility is open 24 hrs and is extremely comfortable. There are 2 iMac available for guest to use. Also, there is a small meeting room for guest to have a small meeting (a much welcome feature that is especially useful for business traveler that do not have an office in Taiwan or having a small press conference). Generally the staffs are very friendly. I was greeted by the staff when I arrived at the 2nd floor and the staff showed me around and also made a cup of coffee for me.

I had quick drinks at  night at the lobby lounge in the evening with a friend. Nice environment with very unique decoration. Food and drinks are good at the lobby lounge and i especially like the deep fried chicken wing – came fresh from the fryer (nice and hot). There is also special promotions for hotel guest which comes up to quite a nice savings for drinkers.

Overall, i would rate the hotel 4 out of 5 star rating – I would have given a perfect scoring for the hotel if not for the lack of natural lighting in the room (i am a fan of natural lighting). Below are some pictures which i have taken with my compact digital camera :
